SkySparc Strengthens Middle East Presence with New Dubai-based Entity

Remote delivery and test automation ensure a smooth, fully auditable upgrade for a leading European central bank

The challenge

A major European central bank required a technical system upgrade of its core treasury and risk management platform, primarily to strengthen information security and modernize legacy interfaces.

With the platform serving as a mission-critical backbone for liquidity, collateral, and investment operations, the bank’s goal was to complete the project without disrupting daily business — an “invisible” upgrade.

The client already used OmniFi for reporting, data integration, and a large-scale data warehouse project. To minimize risk and timelines, the bank engaged SkySparc to deliver the project under its Upgrade-as-a-Service (UaaS) model — combining automation, governance, and proven delivery methodology.

The solution

SkySparc’s Upgrade-as-a-Service (UaaS) approach combines automation, transparency, and expert project controlto ensure a seamless and secure upgrade process — even in environments with the highest security standards.

1. Planning and Setup

SkySparc developed a detailed master test plan and defined all test cases in collaboration with the client’s project, functional, and IT teams.
Workshops clarified ownership, resources, and test coverage across instruments, currencies, and event types.
The project was structured for remote execution, with minimal onsite presence during critical testing phases.

2. Installation and Migration

SkySparc implemented the upgraded version in a controlled test environment, managing all configuration and interface adaptations to ensure full compatibility with surrounding systems.
OmniFi was upgraded to act as the central test and reconciliation tool, supporting automation across all test phases.

3. Testing and Quality Assurance

The comprehensive testing program included:

·       Unit testing – verifying core functionality and data accuracy

·       System integration testing (SIT) – validating end-to-end workflows

·       Performance testing – benchmarking throughput and stability

·       Failover and security testing – including penetration and recovery scenarios

·       User acceptance testing (UAT) – managed jointly with business users

OmniFi’s Autotest functionality provided real-time dashboards, audit trails, and automated reporting of all test results — ensuring full traceability and documentation for audit and regulatory review.

4. Go-Live and Post-Implementation

The project concluded with a controlled dress rehearsal and live migration, followed by post go-live validation and documentation.
SkySparc provided a full knowledge transfer package, allowing the client’s teams to independently operate and maintain the upgraded environment.

"The smoothness of this upgrade has given us the confidence to undertake them more regularly in future. The rigor of SkySparc’s methodology, combined with OmniFi automation and effective remote collaboration, was crucial to its success." - Project Manager, Central Bank

The result

The upgrade was completed on time, on budget, and without disruption to operations.
Through SkySparc’s Upgrade-as-a-Service model and OmniFi automation, the project achieved:

·       Highly efficient, repeatable testing cycles

·       Full auditability and transparency for all stakeholders

·       Verified security, resilience, and performance standards

·       Proof that complex upgrades can be delivered remotely and seamlessly

The project demonstrated that regular technical upgrades can now be treated as routine, low-risk operations — rather than disruptive, one-off events.
The central bank now plans to adopt SkySparc’s UaaS model as its standard approach for maintaining and modernizing mission-critical platforms.

Quick Facts
