Context

A global investment bank initiated a strategic programme to modernise its commodities trading landscape by decommissioning two legacy trading systems, Brady and Adaptiv. The objective was to migrate Precious and Base Metals trading into Murex across Front and Middle Office, while continuing to integrate with an existing back-office platform.

Following a two-month proof of concept, the programme received board approval for a full greenfield Murex Commodities implementation, forming a key part of a wider platform consolidation initiative.

What SkySparc Delivered

SkySparc established and led the delivery structure for the programme, deploying a senior management team comprising a Programme Director, Operations Manager, PMO, and Finance Manager. This team defined the delivery model, governance, and execution approach for the greenfield implementation.

As the programme progressed, the delivery team expanded to more than 30 specialists across multiple business and technology functions. In parallel with the commodities implementation, SkySparc coordinated a platform-wide Murex binary migration and aligned operational consolidation activities with the broader transformation roadmap.
