We are keen to speak to experienced consultants with a strong background in SmartTrade technologies and practical exposure to configuration, implementation and support. This role is a long-term assignment embedded within a major UK bank, working closely with both business and technology stakeholders.

You will play a hands-on, client-facing role, supporting the configuration, optimisation and ongoing delivery of SmartTrade platforms. The role requires strong analytical skills, a structured delivery mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system configuration.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse and validate requirements, translating them into SmartTrade configuration and solution design

• Lead or support system configuration activities, including setup, mapping, testing and validation

• Participate across the full delivery lifecycle, including discovery, build, SIT, UAT, go-live and post-implementation support

• Provide functional and production support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring stable day-to-day operations

• Work closely with project managers, IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure aligned delivery and high-quality outcomes

• Identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement within the platform and surrounding processes

• Produce and maintain clear documentation covering configuration, processes, changes and training materials

• Support knowledge transfer and, where required, deliver training or walkthrough sessions to client teams

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience working with SmartTrade platforms or similar electronic trading systems in a consulting, implementation or production support environment

• Strong configuration experience, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions

• Solid understanding of electronic trading and capital markets workflows

• Experience supporting testing activities (SIT and UAT) and go-live phases

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with both business and technical stakeholders

• Background in investment banking, financial markets or trading technology environments is highly desirable
